If you are vacationing in Orlando and want to play golf, you cannot pass up the opportunity to play one of the best golf courses in Orlando, Florida. This dramatic hillside layout stretches over 7,200 yards and features 100 feet of elevation changes.
Is this the best value course around Louisville?!
Hidden Creek Golf Club is a mere 9 miles north of Downtown Louisville in Sellersburg, IN. This is the first course we have rated that has been given a 100 score in any category, and for good reason. The prices seem to be stuck in 2014 rather than 2024 with peak rates never exceeding $29 and twilight rates sitting at $24. Before you write this off as a goat ranch, hear me out. The fairways and greens can compete with many of the $50-$70 peak rate courses. The tee boxes need A LOT of love, but do not let that deter you from playing this course.
"In religious mythology, Purgatory is where souls pay for their earthly mistakes to gain entry into heaven. It’s about overcoming obstacles to attain eternal happiness.
Golfing at Purgatory is a game of strategy. Take care to avoid the numerous bunkers and thick, tall grass. Stay in the fairway and soon you will realize the heavenly achievement of a lower score." -purgatorygolf.com

Located just 5 miles from the heart of Downtown Indianapolis lives one of the truly unique Pete Dye courses. Originally built in 1929 by Eddie Rickenbacker, this course had a Pete Dye makeover in 1993 that put it on the map for the golfing world.
This may be one of the most affordable courses on the Pete Dye golf trail behind the Tippecanoe Country Club in Monticello, IN. Located just twenty minutes from downtown Indianapolis, this must be on your list of courses to play around the city.
Prairie View Golf Club was opened in 1997 and is the only Robert Trent Jones Jr. course in Indiana. It was built alongside one of the inside bends of the meandering White River that runs through much of Indiana. Their dynamic pricing allows for decent rates for golfers looking for a deal at a very nice course.
One of the best courses around Indianapolis that you've never heard of! Bear Slide Golf Club may also have the coolest name of any golf course in the area. Opened in 1993, this Dean Refram golf course is set alongside Bear Slide Creek, hence the name. The course is unique in the fact it offers two different design styles with a links-like front nine and a more traditional tree-lined back.

But other than its location, everything about The Pfau Course is different from its predecessor, providing golfers with a new must-see, must-experience destination golf course just minutes from the Indiana University campus.
Designed by highly-acclaimed architect Steve Smyers and two-time major winner and Hoosier native Fuzzy Zoeller, The Pfau Course at Indiana University offers a unique, world-class layout that is set in the natural beauty of southern Indiana. Smyers utilized the area’s natural topography in designing the course, while also highlighting the combination of forest, open space, and forest edges that result in both amazing views and a wonderful golfing test." -thepfaucourse.com
